South Park Coon vs Coon and Friends

About this South Park episode: Coon vs. Coon and Friends is the 208th episode of the 14th season of Comedy Central's series South Park. It originally aired on November 10, 2010. The episode begins with Bradley as Mintberry Crunch, summarizing the previous "Coon and Friends" series episodes to the viewer in comic book form like Mysterion (Kenny) did in "Mysterion Rises". The boys raise concern over Mintberry Crunch's super powers, as they do not accept "the power of mint and berry set with a satisfying tasty crunch" as a legitimate super power. Now discussing powers, the boys ask Mysterion about his power. Mysterion boldly states that he "can't die". The Coon shows himself to be even more evil than the dark lord, Cthulhu, as he punishes his former partners in Coon & Friends. Kenny McCormick, is wrestling with the weight of his own super power through his alter-ego, Mysterion. Will Coon and Friends save the day? Will Mysterion ever come to terms with his ability to defy death? All this as the nation waits and wonderswhere is Captain Hindsight?

Cultural references A brown-haired man wearing a lime shirt and grown jacket smiles and looks at something off-screen. Series co-creator Trey Parker (pictured) wrote and directed "Mysterion Rises". "Mysterion Rises" was written and directed by series co-founder Trey Parker. It first aired on November 3, 2010 in the United States on Comedy Central. Like most South Park episodes, "Mysterion Rises" was first conceived by Parker and fellow co-founder Matt Stone within a week of the episode's broadcast date. * The episode's title is a play on the title for the upcoming Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises. * Cartman interacting with Cthulhu while on his belly and the animation sequence while flying with Cthulhu are a reference to My Neighbor Totoro. The song playing during the flying sequence is also a parody of the Totoro theme song. * In this episode there is a parody clip of LeBron James' "Rise" commercial for Nike. The line "I am not a role model" was originally used by Charles Barkley, hence the wink at the end. * The line "That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons even death may die" is from H.P. Lovecraft's The Nameless City, later repeated in The Call of Cthulhu. * One of the posters in Clyde's room features a robot resembling Wing Zero with the title "Gunslave Wing", a reference to the anime Mobile Suit Gundam Wing; in addition, the term 'Gunslave' is a portmanteau of Gundam and Arm Slave, the latter referencing the Full Metal Panic series. * When Kenny confronts his parents using his Mysterion identity, his father mistakenly calls him "Mysterio", an enemy of Spider-Man. * Captain Hindsight got his powers when a "retroactive" spider got into his machine. This is similar to Spider-Man's powers bestowed to him from a "radioactive" spider, and the chair machine that turned David Banner into the Hulk. * While Cartman sits at the airport, a plane with the Joker's symbol from The Dark Knight passes by. * The leader of the Cthulhu cult looks like Henry Blackwood from Sherlock Holmes. * The goth kids believe the rise of Cthulhu will be like a never-ending Nine Inch Nails concert, and hope Cthulu will bring an end to The Disney Channel.

About this South Park Episode:
Stan is sitting at lunch with the other boys when Butters comes up with a message from Stan's girlfriend Wendy saying they need to talk. They meet and Wendy explains Stan's hoarding has gotten out of control and she cannot take it anymore. A group of "experts" help Stan go through his locker, which is quite stuffed. They find a number of disgusting items, including a maggot-infested sandwich and broken toothbrush which Stan refuses to give up. They send him to Mr. Mackey, who does not know what hoarding is. Stan discovers that Mackey is a hoarder himself.
Stan and Mackey, along with a sheep herder (repeatedly misidentified as a sheep "hoarder"), are hooked up to a machine which experts explain will help them figure out why they are hoarders by drifting them to their subconscious. Moments later in Mackey's subconscious he is being bullied by a boy named Billy Thompson, who threatens to attack Mackey at a field trip the next day. Mackey then runs into Stan and the sheep herder, who as the scientists explain in reality, are there because of the power of Mackey's dream. Within the dream, Mackey goes home with Stan, who tries to talk him out of the dream, but Mackey instead plays with his Lite-Brite and old toys and watches ZOOM. Randy insists he has to rescue his son from the dream despite the experts' warning he will be stuck there forever.
The dream moves on to the next morning where Stan, Mackey, the sheep herder and the kids board a bus for the field trip. Stan suddenly sees Randy, who is for some reason a butterfly. Stan asks if he has come to help but Randy reveals while that was his intention, he is more concerned with getting "butterfly poon". The experts claim that they have called in another group of "experts" (including Matt Hasselbeck) to go into the dream to create a "dream within a dream" and rescue them, with one expert providing boombox sounds (recreating the Music from Inception's trailer). The second group, the cast of Inception, comes in shooting at people before going into the dream, where they proceed to shoot even more people in the woods as the group arrives. Stan, the sheep herder and Mackey are introduced to Woodsy Owl, an owl with the tagline "give a hoot, don't pollute" before being put in with Billy's three friends.
The experts are now seen courting firefighters to get into the dream and begin trying to explain the events to Sharon, who claims it all sounds ridiculous and stupid. A pizza guy arrives and is sent in as well, as Sharon is told she does not understand because she is not smart. Within the dream, Mackey and Stan are running from the bullies when Stan convinces Mackey to stand up for himself. Mackey prepares for a fight. Back in reality, the experts decide the dream has become too powerful, and at this point they must court "the most powerful dream infiltrator of all time" who is, of course, Freddy Krueger. The scene in which Freddy Kreuger is recruited to the team is a direct parody of a scene in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (in which Wolverine is contacted by authorites whilst cutting logs). While Freddy Kreuger does not wish to come back, they convince him to help out a final time.

South Park It's a Jersey Thing
About this South Park episode:
"It's a Jersey Thing" is the ninth episode of the fourteenth season of animated television series South Park, and the 204th episode of the series overall. It premiered October 13, 2010 on Comedy Central.
The episode revolves around the invasion of the Jerseyites, based on characters from the MTV reality show, Jersey Shore and from The Real Housewives of New Jersey reality show on Bravo. It also parodies the show Jerseylicious in the scenes at the hair salon.
When a couple from New Jersey moves in next to the Marsh family, they are invited to dinner at the Marsh's, where they make a scene. It soon becomes clear that several people from New Jersey have moved to town, all of whom are obnoxious. Randy calls a meeting at town hall, where he reveals that New Jersey is trying to take over the country and already has everything east of the Rocky Mountains. Meanwhile, Sheila reveals that she is from New Jersey, and that Kyle was in fact conceived in Newark. Cartman's distrust of Kyle is heightened even more, however Stan and Kenny while startled, do not react the same way. In a bar, the locals who are starting to drive New Jersey families out, discover a creature called a Snooki, a monstrous form of Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi. Randy makes a video to al-Qaeda about the danger these people from New Jersey pose to the town of South Park and also to the entire world and begs for their help. New Jersey launches an attack on South Park, that locals are struggling to hold off, but are finally aided by Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda and the New Jersey invaders are killed by suicide airplanes. Cartman lures Kyle go to the Sizzler because he had something very important to show him. In actuality, Cartman had set an ambush there to throw Kyle into the meat freezer for being from Jersey. However, at the Sizzler, the Snooki re-appears, but is finally vanquished by Kyle, who when around New Jersey influences, can become a guido and calls himself Kyley-B. Cartman ends the episode saying "You're a monster, but you're my little monster", and Osama bin Laden is killed by a Special Forces commando during a celebratory reception held for him by the people of South Park.
When Kyle starts to "turn" into a Jerseyite, how the scene plays out is a reference to the scene in the movie Teen Wolf when Scott transforms into a wolf and finds his father also a wolf. Kyle also finds his mom turned into a Jerseyite, as in another Teen Wolf scene. The entire episode makes references to the popular show Jersey Shore and features Snooki, Pauly D, and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino. Sizzler is featured through out the episode. The term is in fact muff garbage but because of the thick accent of the Jerseyites, everyone in South Park thought it was muff cabbage. The final scene with the South Park residents fighting off the invading Jerseyites contains references to the battle scene at the barricade in Les Misrables as well as a similar scene in World War Z.
